about us The Children’s Playroom is owned and operated by Tiffany Gowler and Lisa Grothe, two former elementary school teachers at The Classical Academy in Colorado Springs. Tiffany has 3 young children, Lisa has 2. Having a desire to continue to work with kids without having to leave their young children at a full-time daycare, they decided to open The Children's Playroom. Both of the owners have degrees in education, one specializing in Early Childhood Education and the other specializing in Elementary Education. The goal of The Children's Playroom is that every child that visits our facility would leave with a sense of being loved and valued. Our commitment is to interact with each child in a way that will model the highest moral character and integrity.   Our workers are CPR certified. We also require federal background checks and fingerprinting done on all of our workers. Finally, The Children's Playroom is licensed through the Colorado Department of Human Services, Division of Child Care. We only hire quality people that we would feel comfortable leaving our own children with...because we do leave our own children with them!
